Rohit Has Shown The Other Side Of His Temperament: Sachin

The former legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar heaped admiration on India opener Rohit Sharma for his performances against England with respect to seam and swing circumstances. As of now, the right-hand batsman has scores of 36, 83, and 21 in 2 Test matches. Here is Sachin About Rohit Sharma Performance Against England.

Sachin About Rohit Sharma Performance Against England

Sharma forged a vital combination with KL Rahul in the 2nd match at Lord’s and was dismissed with the new ball. The 34-year-old batsman’s performance lay the groundwork for India’s middle-order batsmen, allowing them to record a total of more than 350.

There were concerns about Sharma’s ability to hit runs in foreign circumstances even before England tour. All of Sharma’s 7 hundred’s have come in India, and there has been much concern that he is unable to turn his early success towards something meaningful in international contests. He also received a start in Trent Bridge’s first innings but was dismissed after he grabbed a short ball.

Rohit has been a leader there and KL Rahul has supported him brilliantly: Tendulkar

Sharma promptly redeemed in the 2nd Test, scoring 83 and putting his critics to rest for the time being. Sachin Tendulkar praised the opener’s batting performance and said he guarded the ball effectively.

“(From) whatever I have seen, I feel, he has taken the lead, and he has shown the other side of his temperament and how he can change his game and adapt to the situation and play accordingly,” Sachin said.

Sharma seems to have been excellent at the pinnacle for India, together with KL Rahul. Tendulkar claimed the 34-year-old has been a wonderful backup to Rahul. Tendulkar concluded off by noting that Sharma’s effort in England so far has been outstanding.

“He has been a leader there and, KL (Rahul) has supported him brilliantly. As far as playing pull shot is concerned (which got him out in the first innings at Lord’s), he has cleared the fence with that shot and, I am looking at what he has been able to achieve for the team in both Tests”.

“Rohit has left the ball and defended the ball brilliantly or equally well. He was always a fantastic player but seeing his last few innings in England, I can say he has definitely gone a notch higher,” he added.
