The Coronavirus pandemic has prompted the world to stay home to avoid infectious diseases from spreading. The sporting world has been affected as competitions and activities due to the outbreak had to be canceled and postponed.

Players work out at home while keeping fans engaged with updates about their social media activities. Recently, BCCI posted a video of Rishabh Pant working out isolation to keep himself fit in these difficult times.

In the video uploaded by BCCI, the Pant is seen doing side planks, jumping on a treadmill and push-ups. Indian Premier League was postponed until 15 April and could be postponed further due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s declaration of a 21-day lockdown. The players are trying to stay fit for the game.

Interestingly, England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes will remain fit for the Indian Premier League 2020 if it does happen. In an interview with media, Stokes said that following the Covid-19 lockdown in India.

IPL 2020 will be the next competitive cricket he will watch while confirming his availability for the tournament’s 13th season. Those remarks, however, were not sitting well with the fans as he faced some backlash.

“My next competitive cricket will be in the IPL at the moment,” Stokes told media

I have to get my head around – Rishabh Pant:

This argument was used by a Twitter user to tell Stokes to “forget the money and limelight” and “talk for others.” The remarks did not go unnoticed as Stokes told the fans not just the headline to read the entire interview. This is what Stokes had said in the interview:-

“I have to get my head around that I’m playing but I know I’m definitely not in the back of my mind. I have to build up and physically get myself in a position where I’m ready to go if it does happen.”

I can not take off for three weeks and expect the body to be ready for April 20 because that’s not how it works. This could happen and I don’t want to be behind if it does.

“A lot of advice will be offered to us and if it’s a choice to go we’ll have to take the sensible one.”
