Ravindra Jadeja Joins Bio Bubble In Mumbai For WTC Finals
Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja joins Team India side’s bio-bubble at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai on Monday. BCCI had asked all the players and staff members living in or around Mumbai to report to the hotel by May 24 for preparation of WTC Finals in England. Apart from Jadeja, head coach Ravi Shastri and other players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Prasidh Krishna and Wriddhiman Saha have also started their quarantine on Monday.
As he began his quarantine, he posted selfies of him on Instagram in his dazzling red t-shirt and stylish cap and added a caption, “Journey started.” The all-rounder looked absolutely determined as he prepares to return on the field for India in the WTC final against New Zealand, which is less than a month’s time from now. With all the men’s and women’s team staff members and players now in Mumbai, the whole contingent is set to fly to the UK together on a chartered flight on June 2.
After reaching England, Virat Kohli led-side would serve a 10-day quarantine in a facility on the premises of the Rose Bowl stadium in Southampton. However, the players would be allowed to train and practice. After the summit clash of WTC Finals, they will face Joe Root led- Three Lions in a five-match bilateral Test series that is scheduled to start on August 4 at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
5 Test series will end on 10th September in Manchester. This will be a long tour for almost four months in India. Rotation and fitness will be the key in all this month.
