Prathmesh Mishra Named As The New Chairman For RCB Prior To Resumption Of The IPL 2021

Prior to the second phase of the IPL 2021, Prathamesh Mishra has been appointed as the New Chairman For RCB franchise. He replaces Anand Kripalu as Chairman of Diageo India, who stepped down on June 30, 2021, after serving as the company’s Managing Director and CEO. Prathamesh, who presently serves as Diageo India’s Chief Commercial Officer, will take on this new responsibility on July 1, 2021.

In 2014, Prathamesh joined Diageo India as the Western region’s Chief Operations Officer. He has worked in sales, marketing, key accounts, and customer marketing for Static Industries, Mohan Meakins, and Pernod Ricard during the course of his career, which spans more than two decades.

He expressed his excitement to work alongside Virat Kohli and the entire RCB team, saying, “I am all set to work alongside Virat Kohli and the entire team. Royal Challengers Bangalore is an integral part of Diageo India, and all of us share a profound passion for the team.  I am excited about adding my shoulder to Virat Kohli, Mike Hesson, and Simon Katich and playing bold in everything we do, on and off, the field. I would also like to thank Anand for his tremendous contribution to RCB.”

RCB’s middle-order hitting troubles appeared to have found a convincing solution with the addition of Glenn Maxwell. In seven matches, the all-rounder has scored 223 runs at a strong 37.16 average. With his aggressive performance, he led RCB to win in a couple of crucial games. AB de Villiers, on the other hand, has always been a valuable addition to the team, adapting his game to the circumstances.

Harshal Patel’s arrival has boosted the team even more since he has provided several game-winning periods for the side. With 17 wickets so far in the IPL 2021, he now sits atop the list of the most wicket-takers. RCB, unlike last year, has looked excellent from the start of the season and would like to keep the undefeated run going in the second phase.
