Limited overs skipper of West Indies Keiron Pollard said that the break which the cricket players are undergoing due to the outbreak of Coronavirus Pandemic should be used in a constructive way.
In an interaction with a leading sports website, Pollard said, “One should use this time to introspect on their respective careers and discover ways to keep fit throughout the year especially for their upcoming tournaments.”
The deadly coronavirus which has left almost 12000 people dead and more than 250,000 infected forced the International, National, and Domestic cricket to called off. Its due this, the cricketing fraternity are left to think for alternatives, as the cancellation of the tournament will incur loses to the management.
“It is always advisable to go on a break after regular intervals. This helps one to explore more of themselves beyond the cricketing field” Keiron added.
Matches Remain Suspended:
Cricket West Indies (CWI) has suspended all its matches for the coming next one month. On the other England, Wales Cricket (ECB) has suspended everything till the 28th of May in the wake of deadly coronavirus infection.
Players Asked To Undergo Self Isolation:
Players who have just returned from a foreign tournament have been advised to undergo self-isolation for a period of 14 days. This was advised by the government of all the countries to ensure, that the infection does not spread further.
Some of the players who are undergoing home quarantine were found practicing, spending quality time with their families and some of them were even seen exploring their creative skills in the form of making hilarious videos and having fun with friends around. Including the BCCI and ICC have been posting videos on social media to entertain its fans all across the globe, and keep them tuned to the game, till their favorite game of ‘Gentlemen’ is back on the tracks.
