Pathan Brothers: “It’s A Small Start”
Former all-rounder Irfan Pathan and his cricketer-brother Yusuf Pathan have distributed 4,000 masks to the needy people, during the on-going health crisis caused by coronavirus.
The younger of the two brothers Irfan Pathan tweeted, “Doing our bit for the society. Whatever u guys can do please go ahead and help each other as far as sanitation is concerned. But don’t gather crowd!@iamyusufpathan #corona it’s a small start hopefully we will keep helping more. Everyone of us.”
He also attached a video with the comment, in which he said he and his brother have bought the masks on behalf of their father run trust Mehboob Khan Pathan Memorial Trust.

They will hand-over the masks to the Vadodara health department, which will, in turn, give them away for poor people. The former cricketer has been very active on Twitter the past few days and responding to the developments related to the outbreak of the deadly virus.
Thanks Guj Government for Banning Spitting In Public
He applauded the Gujarat government’s move to ban spitting in public places. He supported it by tweeting,” Welcome move by #GujaratGovernment to ban the spitting in public during #coronavirus time. It should be ban forever for a better n cleaner environment.”
He also urged people to stay in their homes during the Janata Curfew on Sunday, though it might be a bummer as social distancing is the need of the hour.
The 35-year old player who evoked comparison with the great Wasim Akram in swinging the ball played 29 Tests and 120 ODIs and announced his retirement on January 4th 2020, though his last international match was long back in 2012.
Many former and current cricket players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have called for the fight against the corona threat.
Corona Virus has killed 9 people in India with the number of positive cases touching 500 on Tuesday.
