On Monday England Women Cricketers Return To Field

The cricketers will return across six venues:

We are hopeful that of a Women’s Tri-series including South Africa and India at this end of this year. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has declared that 24 numbers of its cricketers will return to the field for individual training from 22nd June.

It was scheduled that India Women’s cricket team travel to England to play a bilateral series of three T20Is and three ODIs but the tour was postponed for the time being. Now ECB is trying to encourage Cricket South Africa and the BCCI to agree on this tour to organize a tri-series at the end of this year but yet nothing has been confirmed.

In a statement, ECB said “The cricketers will come from six different venues, at starting all the players will train on their own and then involve in small group training. Teams for particular formats will be named in this time, subject to finalize of this series.”

The training sessions will be carried out under the supervision of the same medical guidelines as well as a bio-secure environment that has been taken place for men’s team of England.

The cricketers will take training at Loughborough, National Performance Centre; Yorkshire, Emerald Headingley; London, The Kia Oval; Bristo, Bristol County Ground; Hove, 1st Central County Ground; and Lancashire, Chester Boughton Hall CC.

The Director of England Women’s cricket, Jonathan Finch said: “This summer, we really hope to play cricket and it is extremely exciting for the players to be able to return to the field and do training.”

Also, he added, “We have got a lot of support from the First-class nations with the venues utilization, and we will remain grateful to them for their support, and we are really one step closer towards the women cricketers of England return to the ground this summer.”
