Super Over Drama Haunts New Zealand – India Continues To Dominate

NZ vs IND – In the 4th T20I match between New Zealand and India, Kiwis have won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Big blow for the New Zealand Setup – Their skipper Kane Williamson misses out this game and India had made 3 changes by bringing in Sanju Samson, Washington Sundar, and Navdeep Saini in place of Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and MohammedShami.

Here Is The Playing 11 Of India And New Zealand:

India: Sanju Samson, Lokesh Rahul(w), Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini

New Zealand: Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Tom Bruce, Ross Taylor, Tim Seifert(w), Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Scott Kuggeleijn, Tim Southee(c), Ish Sodhi, Hamish Bennett

1st Innings:

Sanju Samson and KL Rahul have opened the Indian Innings, Samson excites the crowd with a six in his first and right after 2 deliveries he had to depart right away by Kuggeleijn.

In the very next over KL Rahul had to depart for just 21 runs and surprisingly the pitch was supporting the paceman with a lot of bounce.

The Indian captain initially was successful in putting in some pressure on Bennett by picking two fours. And then Kohli – in an attempt to hit the ball through the mid-wicket there was a leading-edge towards short extra cover and Santner flies and completes his second catch.

New Zealand was looking in top form and they were successful in removing Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube.

Manish Pandey has stepped and made his half-ton in just 36 balls and had helped the team to post a challenging total of 165-8 in 20 Overs.

2nd Innings:

New Zealand opening Duo Martin Guptill and Colin Munro opening the innings. Munro was in great touch and was only dealing in boundaries and from the other Guptill was unable to play his natural game and he had to depart on just 4 runs.

Colin Munro and Tim Seifert have steadied the New Zealand innings. Munro had made his half-century. Even The Kiwis wicketkeeper Time Seifert has completed his half-ton.

It was very unfortunate for Munro and he had to depart on 67 runs –  Excellent run out from Thakur.

Seifert and Taylor carried the New Zealand Innings, and it is all down to the last over again.

Last Over Drama Continues – New Zealand needed 7 runs from 6 balls. Ross Taylor Departs on the first delivery. In the very next deliver Mitchell has stikes a four.

And a run out in the very next delivery, Sadly Seifert had to depart on 57 runs. And it was all happening at Wellington.

It was down to 3 from 3. There was a lot of pressure on young Thakur, Santner was on strike – A single from him.

Then it was 2 from 2, Mitchell is on strike and the Indian team was taking its time in setting up the right field, and a wicket of Mitchell.

Fans were going Mad. Now it was all down to the last ball, 2 Runs from just 1 Ball. Santner was on Strike.

Santner takes a single, And Again a Super Over.

It was a mighty six from the star batsman of India KL Rahul in the first ball. And a Four in very next ball from Rahul.

And the equation was down to 4 from 4. In an attempt of striking big – he was caught at the boundary rope. And a wicket down for India.
