The third day of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final began on an unfavourable track for India and Virat Kohli fans. Kyle Jamieson pleased to dismiss Virat Kohli. Not only that, but the tall bowler dismissed rising star batsman Rishabh Pant for four runs and claimed his fifth five-wicket haul in his ninth Test. As a result, he became the first New Zealand bowler to have so many five-wicket hauls in his short Test career. The Kiwi pacer’s spell slowed India’s run-scoring, as they were finally bowled out for 217 runs.
Jamieson’s dismissal of Kohli was one of the most memorable of his five wickets because he had clarity of mind and a clear approach for dismissing his RCB captain. The tall bowler delivered a series of outswingers before trapping him with a brilliant inswinger. Even a DRS review couldn’t save the Indian captain as the terrible three reds appeared on the big screen.

When asked about the dismissal and the intention to dismiss Kohli, Jamieson stated that there was a pattern. “Oh, I guess yes. Maybe there is some sort of pattern and this we know talk about a huge amount, the one that I was able to get him (Kohli) today certainly seamed back a little bit.”
“And that was pretty hard to control as a bowler and pretty harder to manage as a batter no matter who you are. So I don’t think it is necessarily just for him (Kohli),” Jamieson said at the virtual post-day press conference.
Jamieson went on to describe how Kohli’s wicket was one of the most significant in the framework of the game. After the departure of the Indian captain, India could only manage 71 runs.
“Yeah, obviously he (Kohli) is a massive part of their team and pretty big wicket to get, so to get him pretty early morning, was I guess was nice and pleasing and pretty crucial for how the day followed,” added the right-arm pacer.
At the End of Day 3:
Indian bowlers were trying so hard to get a wicket and finally, Ashwin struck the first wicket for Team India and sent Lantham off the field for 30 runs. And Ishant Sharma picked Conway’s (54) wicket.
New Zealand is at 101/2 in 49 overs.
