NADA has finalized IPL’s dope testing:

National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) of India has finalized to take the dope testing program for the 2020 IPL, which is scheduled to be held from 19th September to 10th November in the UAE.

From the report, it is learned that NADA will arrange five “Dope Control Stations (DCS)’ in the UAE to conduct its anti-doping tests-one DCS each at the three venues of the tournament, Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, and one DCS center at every dedicated training venues- Zayed Cricket Stadium situated in Abu Dhabi, and ICC Academy in Dubai.

Navin Agarwal Informed:

Director general of NADA, Navin Agarwal informed that the dope control officers (DCOs) have taken the complete direction to conduct the ‘in competition’ testing procedure only at the three playing venues, while the ‘out of competition’ testing will be taken out at the training sites only. During the league, a total of 50 samples will be amassed.

Rather than urine samples, NADA is allowed to take blood samples also if needed. Three different sides of NADA officers and DCOs, with every team comprising five members (one senior official member of NADA, two top DCOs, and two local chaperones gave by the anti-doping agency of UAE) have been issued to carry out the anti-doping tests.
