MS Dhoni Might Make a Come Back
As Rishabh Pant failed to utilize the recent opportunities, speculations were rife that MS Dhoni might make a comeback to cricket with India’s upcoming limited-overs series against the West Indies which is scheduled to start from December 6th.
However, CSK captain has hinted at a comeback after January with his latest comments. Recently, India head coach Ravi Shastri was also asked about Dhoni’s return to the Indian team. Ravi Shastri said it would depend on the former captain’s performance in the IPL.
“It all depends on when he starts playing and how he is playing during the IPL. What are the other people doing with the wicket-keeping gloves or what is the form of those players as opposed to Dhoni’s form? The IPL becomes a massive tournament because that could be the last tournament after which more or less your 15 are decided,” said Shastri.
India’s former captain has often faced criticism in recent times over his poor form and slow pace of scoring runs. His impending retirement has been one of the most trending topics in Indian cricket.
