Mohammad Azharuddin Talks With Rohit Sharma And Rishabh Pant Before 1st T20I

Team India is preparing for the first game against West Indies in the three-match T20I series. The opener of the series will be played at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi international stadium.

On Thursday, they were joined by none other than former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin as Indian cricketers took the field for their practice session.

Last week, Mohammad Azharuddin was named the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The veteran has a major responsibility to restore and improve the state of domestic cricket.

He played for Team India in 99 Tests and 334 ODIs between 1985 and 2000 before he was ruled out due to some allegations of match-fixing.

Nevertheless, the court removed his ban in 2012, but the ban was not formally lifted by the BCCI.

Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant got some notable points from Mohammad Azharuddin

The former Indian player Mohammad Azharuddin is regarded as one of his time’s best batsmen, and his ability to play pull shots against bowlers was uncompromising.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma, known as the master of playing the same stroke, was spotted taking Azharuddin’s lessons during the practice session.

Later, the young Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant also joined his teammate and it looked like he was speaking to Azharuddin, who is recognized as one of Indian cricket history’s best fielders.

Pant was spotted in front of Azharuddin’s throwdown after having a discussion. Virat Kohli and Co have been spotted working hard ahead of the 1st T20I during the practice session.

It seemed rather odd, however, that Shreyas Iyer came out quite late to bat in the nets and practiced alongside the Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Concerning Team India’s selection for the series opener against West Indies, there is uncertainty as to which player will be picked by the team management. Will it be Manish Pandey or Shreyas Iyer?

As per the recent selection records, Indian skipper Virat Kohli always come up with shocking playing XI, an aspect that was criticized on several occasions by Indian fans and former cricketers.

When entering the final T20I series for the year beginning on December 6, Team India is expected to leave no stone unturned.
