Michael Holding:ECB’s Bio-Secure Protocols Should Be Little Bit More Logical

Michael Holding has questioned England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB):

Michael Holding, the pace legend has questioned the bio-secure protocol set by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to overcome the COVID-19 threat after England star bowler Jofra Archer violated the protocols before the ongoing 2nd Test series against the team of West Indies.

On Thursday (16-07-2020), Jofra Archer was dismissed from the second Test match after breaking the bio-secure protocol to visit his home, which is in Brighton after the first Test match against West Indies. After returning to his hotel, he will now undergo COVID-19 teats two times during a period of five-days isolation.

During the first days of the second Test match of England Vs West Indies, the former West Indies bowler, Michael Holding said “I only want to ask some questions of the England Cricket Board and these COVID-19 protocols though. I can totally understand the bio-secure protocols have to be put in  place but according to me, the rules should be a little bit more logical.”

He added “Why aren’t the team of England traveling on a bus? If the players have already gone through COVID-19 tests and found negative, every player is together, they have to play six Test matches together, they are moving from one venue to another.”

The Barbados-born 25-years-old, Jofra Archer has apologized for his deeds and acknowledged the terrible nature of his carelessness at this crucial time.

Michael Holding said “What is the requirement of going by bus to the next venue? Why the players are not permitted to go by cars? What is the logic behind this? ECB should think about all these things a bit.”

In the month of April, Jason Holding had questioned the real logic of obstructing players from using saliva on the ball in a bio-secure environment.
