IPL 2022: MI vs SRH Head to Head Records, Stats In IPL History

Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Head To Head Records Preview:

MI vs SRH Head to Head: It is the tale of two teams whose fortunes haven’t been great this season. Two former champions will clash against each other in-game number 65 of IPL 2022. The Mumbai Indians will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad. It might well just be a game of pride for MI, but for SRH this game is of utmost importance. They will be desperate to end their winless drought. Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will play host to this game.

Current Form: Mumbai Indians

It has been a disappointing season for the Mumbai Indians. They started the tournament on a dismal note. MI has always been a late bloomer. But even for their standards, it was too little too late this season. MI was in a winning position in their first game. But DC’s lower order stole the game. It was a similar story against KKR too. Pat Cummins smashed the joint-fastest fifty to stun Mumbai. MS Dhoni turned back the clock to take CSK home in a thrilling last-over game. MI kept losing games they had no business doing so. They became the first team ever to lose their opening eight games.

They won their first match in their ninth game. MI since then has gone on to win three games out of four. It will be interesting to see where they finish eventually. They currently have six points from 12 games. MI has tried roping in youngsters to provide them with IPL experience. They have already started planning ahead for the upcoming season.

Current Form: Sunrisers Hyderabad

It has been an all-or-nothing season for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. They lost their opening two matches. SRH were so insipid in those games that they were written off already. But to everyone’s surprise, they staged a terrific turnaround. SRH won their first game in the third match they played. They defeated Gujarat Titans in the fourth match who were undefeated till then. SRH went on to win five games in a row. They were ranked second in the points table at the halfway stage.

But nothing has gone their way since then. SRH has now lost five games in a row. From the high of being placed second in the table to now lying in the eighth spot, it has been a contrasting season for them. SRH is still hopeful of a playoff spot. But they need to win their remaining two games handsomely. The game against Mumbai will be a step in that direction.
