MCA Writes To CM Uddhav Thackeray To Resume Cricket Training

The MCA has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) requested to Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackrey to resume cricket training after a three-month lockdown because of the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. A couple of top players such as Shardul Thakur have started bowling practice at his native place Palghar, Rohit Sharma, the vice-captain of national cricket team also has initiated running and followed the gym routine with his trainer Nick Webb.

Sanjay Naik, MCA secretary, and Shahalam Shaikh, joint secretary requested government through a letter which is in ownership of PTI “ As the cricket’s governing body, we have followed all the guidelines/ regulations of the government and we will do the same in the future.”

Further MCA wrote “Along with the COVID-19, we have to comprehend that there are a lot of cricketers who are eagerly waiting to get back to the field and proceed their careers. They have been waiting with so much patience for these restrictions to end. However, it feels that we have to learn to live with this coronavirus.”

Since it is an extraordinary circumstance, MCA has haunted some guidelines from the Maharashtra government for the resuming of grouped training.

The associate has written “In this critical time, we request you to provide necessary guidelines or any kinds of operating proceedings about resuming the cricket. We try to keep all the cricketers well informed so that they can follow all the rules and regulations of the state government.”

MCA is the governing body of Greater Mumbai cricket, Kharghar, Thane, and Palghar district. The office of MCA situated inside the property of Wankhade Stadium in South Mumbai has also lock since the middle of March just like the office of BCCI.

Mumbai is the most horrible affected cities all over the country because of the pandemic. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Mumbai has recorded 1,365 new positive cases and 58 deaths on Thursday.
