Maxwell Likely To Make His Come Back After Having A Break Due To Mental Health Issues

Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has made good progress and come back from his mental health break as he was seen doing his training with the Victoria team at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Maxwell, who took a break from cricket because of his mental health issues at the time of the T20I match series against Sri Lanka in October. He has played for three club games and has given a contribution to some aspects of Victoria’s Shield program.  The Victorian Batsmen Will Pucovski and Nic Maddinson who have also taken a break from playing in order to boost and enhance their mental well-being.

Maxwell Might Return To The Field After Having A Break Due To Mental Health Issues:

Maxwell’s Teammate, Marcus Harris gave his statement that “I think he is doing everything he needs to do when he is ready to come back, he will definitely do so. I’m not sure if it is this week or Big Bash, but he’s not far away and make his comeback, I think.”

Harris further added that it is up to Maxwell to think when he feels to make his return to the game on a full-time basis. “I think those sorts of guys need some space. I think they’ve got everyone hounding them about what’s going on and what they’re doing,” he said. “They are adults. Maxi has been really good and all the guys who are dealing with this stuff have been very good and we just put our arm around them and give them our support,” he stated.

Team India Captain, Virat Kohli has also appreciated Maxwell after he took a break from international cricket based on his mental health issues, saying what the Australian all-rounder Player had done by accepting the concern is really “remarkable’.

England all-round Cricketer, Moeen Ali has stated that there’s too much of cricket being played at this moment because of which players are facing this mental issue.

“There’s so much cricket played now. Mentally, you become tired. You feel drained up by doing the same warm-up and other things while playing the match,” Moeen gave this statement to IANS.
