Manjrekar Criticising Jadeja Again, Dropping Him From His Ideal Playing Xl

Team India will be playing after over eight months in an international fixture. They were last seen on the field against South Africa, on March 12. Team India started their tournament against Australia in the opening ODI of the three-match series yesterday after a loss in first of many.

India’s squad selection was on everyone’s mind since Rohit Sharma was injured during IPL and Indian Cricket board confirmed he’ll be out for ODI and T20. Bowling selections will also be considered since we miss out on our one of best batsmen recently and this can pressure a captain to add another batsmen and leaving our side with less bowling options. India have limited options in All-rounders too since Hardik Pandya is still not fit to bowl. Team Selection should be the important factor as Indian Skipper will be trying to retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Sanjay Manjrekar recently gave his advice on how India should be lining up against Australia in first ODI.

Sanjay Manjrekar Left out on Ravindra Jadeja picking Kuldeep Yadav

Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar picked his playing XI and left out Ravindra Jadeja. The noted commentator went with KL Rahul in the middle and picked Mayank Agarwal to open the proceedings along with Shikhar Dhawan. Manjrekar kept Hardik Pandya out of the playing XI and instead went with Manish Pandey. Quite strange from an Indian pundit leaving Hardik Pandya who’s in top form recently.

Manjrekar had previously called Ravindra Jadeja a bits-and-pieces cricketer. “I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar had said.

Sanjay Manjrekar picked Kuldeep Yadav over Jadeja. While he did not give any reason to leave out R Jadeja, Manjrekar put forward that the management should use him as a substitute fielder if needed.

Sanjay Manjrekar has often criticised Jadeja and once again, the cricket pundit is being criticised on Twitter.  As far as R Jadeja’s chances go, he is confirmed to get a place in the playing XI at the start.

Ravindra Jadeja conceded 63 of his 10 overs while Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini and Yuzvendra Chahal conceded 73, 83 and 89  runs respectively in their 10 over span which costed Indian their loss in 1st ODI.
