The Lucknow Super Giants have introduced their logo before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 blockbuster auction. The Sanjiv Goenka-owned Lucknow franchise is one of 2 additional IPL franchises, along with Ahmedabad. Whereas the team’s name was confirmed a week ago, the logo was released on Monday, 31st January, and supporters were delighted with the design. Lucknow Super Giants team logo .
In terms of appearance, a bat with a ball in the middle has been added wings. The wings include 3 colors saffron, white, & green and are patterned by the Indian Flag colors. According to the franchise, the inspiration for the design has been pulled from ancient Indian mythology. The wings’ design is based on the famous bird Garuda, which is noted for its power to move swiftly.

The mythical bird Garuda- who is a protector and enthroned with the power to move swiftly, has inspired us to create the winged emblem of the team. “The tricolor wings of the entity, symbolically represent Lucknow Super Giants’ Pan -India appeal. The body of the bird has been formed by a blue-colored bat to signify the game of cricket, there is a red ball with an orange seam too. It is like an auspicious Jay tilak’. The identity, as a whole, is endowed with strong positive energy to soar higher and higher and achieve success. Lucknow Super Giants is a team for every Indian. It is a team that unites the nation,” read the statement further.
Furthermore, before the player auction, the team signed KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi in the drafting. As a result, they now have INR 58 crore to shape their remaining squad in the auction process. This implies that the team must begin the bidding process with a solid vision. Andy Flower has been named head coach in command of the backroom team. Gautam Gambhir shall act as mentor and Vijay Dahiya as the assistant coach for the new franchise.
