The ODI series which took place between India and Australia saw that both of them performing well for their teams. Dean Jones, the former cricketer of Australia, was casually questioned to select between Kohli and Smith. At that point, he said that keeping in mind their performance across all three formats the better player is Kohli.

Kohli As A Better Player In All Formats
A user of Twitter questioned him during an exchange as to who is his favorite among the two. Jones said after the recently concluded ODI series, Kohli was good as he scored 183 runs while Smith slammed 229 runs.
Discussing career numbers, the run-tally of Smith is 7227 and Kohli is behind him by only 25 runs in Test cricket. But the skipper of India is way ahead when the focus is on the limited-overs format.
Earlier, Michael Vaughan, the former England captain, had also stated that – As an all-format batsman Virat Kohli was the finest.
It has been a long-standing debate as to ‘who is better‘ between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and the star batsman of Australia Steve Smith. It was once again brought by fans of cricket on social media when Smith scored 131 off 132 balls during the series-decider between India and Australia.
The match was lost by Australia by seven wickets after a scintillating 89 by Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s brilliant 119.
