Kevin Pietersen Pokes India After England Win 1st Test, Tweets In Hindi

England have taken 1-0 lead in the ongoing test match series and credit to Joe Root’s brilliant 218 that set up the match for the tourists and we’ve seen an all-round performance in the first innings from England bowlers dismissing India on 337. England had a chance to put India onto bat since India didn’t manage to score 378 to avoid follow on, Instead, they decided to score few runs instead.

Joe Root cleverly understood the pitch after playing for 4 days and gave India around 20 overs in Day 4 and rest of Day 5. India were given a target of 420 runs where all 3 results where open till Day 5 started. India started well on 5th day but James Anderson came up with all the experience and got quick wickets by dismissing Shubman Gill, Ajinkya Rahane and Risabh Pant in his 4 over short spell. India lost the first Test of the series by a massive 227 runs.

Kevin Pietersen Takes A Dig At Virat Kohli-Led Indian Side

Indian fans already had an open wound after this lose where England Veteran Batsmen Pietersen used his Hindi to poke fun at Virat Kohli-led India. Kevin Pietersen has spent a lot of time in India during IPL & other series and one thing he has surely learnt from fellow commentators is the Hindi language.

Pietersen has been following Indian cricket for a long time and has time and again expressed his fondness for Virat Kohli. Earlier, Pietersen had warned India ahead of England’s tour, asking the hosts to not celebrate too much after the Australia win as “the real challenge” awaits.

His post read: “India, yaad hai maine pehele hi chetawani di thi ke itna jasn na manaye jab aapne Australia ko unke ghar pe haraya tha.”

It was a win England will savour as it gives them hope of qualifying for the ICC World Test Championship later in the year. England have now taken a crucial 1-0 lead in the four-match Test series. It would now be interesting to see what changes India make for the second Test which takes place in a couple of days from now. The second Test against England starts on February 13 and it will be played in Chennai.
