Former Australian opening batsman and present head coach Justin Langer has been Inducted into the Australian cricket hall of fame for his enormous services to the nation’s success via his batting and coaching abilities. Langer, 51, made his international debut in 1993 and in 103 Tests he smashed 7696 runs, at an avg of 45.3. Langer was a significant player at the top of the lineup during the renowned Australian time of the 2000s when Australia dominated the globe for a long time.
Langer took over as Australia’s head coach after the team was totally destroyed by the sandpaper gate event in 2018, and he has done an excellent job of restoring the team’s reputation. He led Australia to their first-ever T20 WC victory a few months ago, and he backed it up with a 4-0 hammering of England in the recent Ashes series.
Chairman of the Australian Hall of Fame, Peter King praised Langer for being a crucial component in the Australian team’s success in recent months, and he also highlighted his efforts as a player. Langer had been under a lot of strain for his players’ bonds as a number of scandals arose on his 1st few series as a coach, but he fought through it the best manner he could.

“Justin’s contribution to Australian cricket spans across four separate decades. First as a player, as part of one of the most successful teams that world cricket has ever seen. As a coach, he entered the role at a time of great need and leads the Australian Men’s Cricket Team with great distinction, a team which the Australian public is very proud of,” Peter King told.
Peter kept reminding us that Langer’s dedication to the achievement of the Australian cricket team has spanned 4 decades and is likely to continue. His next job would be a visit to Pakistan, which will be a spectacular series because Australia hasn’t visited the subcontinent country since 1998.
