Jasprit Bumrah Can Bounce Back – John Wright

Jasprit Bumrah Is Finding His Swing Again:

In the ongoing New Zealand tour of India, after a series of average performances of Jasprit Bumrah has come under the scanner. In the last three ODI matches, he did not get any single wicket, and in the Test match, he returned with just one wicket.

Former India coach John Wright, when he was Mumbai Indian head coach, he has nearly observed Bumrah. He said that the death overs bowler is returning from injury. And that is affecting his swing.

“He is coming back after recovering from an injury. He is finding his style of bowling again. Before the injury, he was considered one of the fastest bowlers with an average speed of 142 km/h. Many players had faced this situation. After the high, there is a low,” John Wright was quoted.

“New Zealand players have prepared well to face the Bumrah bowling. Teams must have seen his bowling videos. Once you become vital to an attack, the opposition teams put you below the scanner and search for ways to manage your best. Sometimes, they just played with you off, not giving wickets to you.”

“I Am Confident About Bumrah” – John Wright

“Bumrah needs to fight through tough periods, and I believe the 26-year-old right-arm seamer will bounce back. Bumrah is an intellectual person. I am confident about him that he will find a way out. He has to fight his way through such difficult periods,” he said.

The first Test match took place in Wellington, and New Zealand won over India by 10-wickets, which gave New Zealand a secure 1-0 lead in the two-match test series. India vs. New Zealand’s second test match has scheduled for Saturday in Christchurch.

However, Scott Styris, former New Zealand all-rounder told that Indian players never try to swing the ball but always try to get a seam movement off the pitch.

Whereas the New Zealand players always try to swing the ball more. And because of this reason, the New Zealand players got a chance to turn the ball in the second innings of the first test match. On the other hand in the same match, the Indian players were looking to get a chance to seam the ball off the ground, which leads them to lose the test match.
