I Think Pujara Found It A Challenge- Jason Gillespie:
Jason Gillespie, the former Australian fast bowler, believes that during his county period, the Indian test experts Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma have left an indelible impression on him with their working ethics. Gillespie spoke in a recent interview named Cow Corner Chronicles, which is telecasted on YouTube.
In that interview, he said “A couple of years ago, when I was the head coach, we needed a batsman. in the top three who would be able to do a job for us in any tough situation, someone perfect, someone who would handle good bowling.
“Pujara has fitted the bill exactly. I thought he took that as a challenge. In county cricket, early days of the season duke cricket ball moving favorably for foreign countries. As a cricketer, this was a fantastic test for him. This is a good learning curve for him.” Gillespie said on Yorkshire’s first stint in 2015.
The Sussex Players Were Really Impressed With Ishant’s Work Ethic:
Gillespie’s other Indian favorite cricketer was fast bowler Ishant Sharma. To date, he has played 97 tests and took 297 wickets. In 2018, Ishant played for Sussex with Gillespie as a coach.
” For me what impresses me about Ishant Sharma was his thirst for information, his ability to listen, ask questions, check new things that you learn. He knows what to do to bowl well. And he knew it very well that he needed to get better.
“Ishant’s work ethic inspired the Sussex players. They loved his character. In the dressing room, he fitted really well. But his desire to learn, to ask, and to try. He has a phenomenal working ethic on the net on track.
“He’s an Indian test bowler, and he bowls and works hard to develop his game. He has been involved in 80 test matches at the time. And every day he is working hard to improve. It is also nice to see such an accomplished player for our young Sussex bowlers. He always strives to learn and develop, “added Gillespie.
