Jadeja Got A Lot Of Change In His Temperament: VVS Laxman

Ravindra Jadeja has established himself as one of India’s most trustworthy performers. He has contributed to the squad with both the bat and the ball and is on his way to becoming one of the world’s best all-rounders. Former India batsman VVS Laxman believes Jadeja is the third-best all-rounder in the world, after Ben Stokes & Jason Holder.

Third Best All Rounder In The World – VVS Laxman about Jadeja

The solitary spinner in India’s starting XI for the 2nd Test is Ravindra Jadeja. For the first 2 Tests, he was chosen instead of R Ashwin and contributed greatly with the bat. Laxman believes that the all-rounder has changed his attitude and approach, and has positioned Jadeja as the world’s top 3 all-rounders.

“I think for me, it’s Ben Stokes who is the No. 1 Test all-rounder in the world, No. 2 will be Jason Holder and Ravindra Jadeja will be No. 3 after those two. The way he batted in this Test match shows that he’s got a lot of change in his temperament, in his mindset.” Laxman said in an Interaction.

Jadeja is displaying a lot more temperament to be successful: VVS Laxman

After hitting a half-century in the first Test versus England, Jadeja contributed another 40 runs to the team’s total in the 2nd match. From the 2018 Oval Test, Jadeja has not been a solid thing for the Test lineup.

But, with time, he has established himself as one of the team’s most important assets, proving to be more efficient with both the bat and the ball. According to Laxman, Jadeja shown a lot of potential in terms of performing under pressure and having a lot more composure. He did say, though, that for the finest all-rounder, he needs to be left the team straight immediately, which is not the situation with Jadeja at present.

“I think he is showing and displaying a lot more temperament to be successful in trying conditions against quality fast bowlers. But for me, a great all-rounder is one who straightaway walks into the Playing XI, either as a batsman or a bowler. Now, Jadeja doesn’t do that.”
