During the ongoing tour of India to New Zealand, India registered a fantastic victory over New Zealand in a T20I match with 7 wickets in Auckland and now lead 2-0 in the series of five matches of the shortest format.
Kane Williamson, the captain of New Zealand, chose to bat after winning the toss. But it seemed that his decision backfired as his batsmen could only score 132/5 in 20 overs.
During the match, the bowling figures of Indians were economical with Ravindra Jadeja, the all-rounder of India, returning with 4-0-18-2, Jasprit Bumrah with 4-0-21-1, and Mohammad Shami’s figures reading 4-0-22-0.
When India was chasing, there was a partnership of 86 for the third wicket between wicket-keeper batsman Lokesh Rahul who scored 57* and the number 4 batsman Shreyas Iyer, who scored 44. India reached this target in the 18th over without much discomfort and registered their second victory in New Zeland.
Ravindra Jadeja And Sanjay Manjrekar Get Involved In A Hilarious Twitter Banter
K L Rahul, who is in the middle of a purple patch in the limited-overs cricket, was awarded ‘Man of the Match’ as he scored his 11th T20I half-century.
Sanjay Manjrekar, a former India batsman and commentator, was of the view that ‘Man of the Match’ should have been given to a bowler. He shared this thought on the Twitter platform.
On the other hand, Jadeja insisted that Manjrekar mention the bowler’s name to whom he thought it should have been awarded. Last year, both of them were involved in a bitter Twitter battle at the time of the ICC Cricket World Cup when Manjrekar referred to Jadeja as a bits and pieces player.
What is the name of that bowler?? Pls pls mention 🤪

While the question of Ravindra Jadeja was answered by Manjrekar, he did not take his name in the form of a deserving candidate for the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
Ha ha…Either you or Bumrah. Bumrah, because he was extremely economical while bowling overs no 3, 10, 18 and 20. https://t.co/r2Fa4Tdnki

So over no. 11, 13, 15 & 17 wasn't important, taking 2 wickets for just 18 runs on a small ground by a spinner when NZ was looking good to score over 150 wasn't important. Just because you don't like the bowler. Dil bada karo sirji
