Isuru Udana Announces Retirement From International Cricket

Star Sri Lankan pacer Isuru Udana has officially announced his retirement from international cricket which will affect immediately and this news has shocked every Sri Lankan fan and cricketing fraternity. He was recently a part of the Sri Lankan setup and has featured in 3 ODI’s and T20I games against Team India. Let’s look at why Isuru Udana Announces Retirement.

Isuru Udana Announces Retirement

33-year old Isuru Udana will no longer feature in international cricket – He has made his international debut in a T20I game against Australia back in the 2009 T20 World Cup and he was quite expensive by conceding 47 runs and picked a couple of wickets of Brad Haddin and David Hussey. But in recent times he was quite handy with the ball for the National side and mainly on a slower surface because of his off-cutters and other slow ball variations.

Udana has made his One Day Internation (ODI) debut in the year 2012, is also a useful lower-order batsman and shockingly he has scored half-ton in each ODI and Test game. In his overall career, he has picked 18 wickets in 21 ODI games, and in 35 T20I games, he has picked 27 wickets.

Isuru Udana was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore Camp in IPL 2020:

Udana was a part of the RCB setup in IPL 2020 which was conducted in UAE and the left-arm pacer was picked for a price of 50L INR. He has performed pretty decently in that season by picking 8 wickets in 10 games at 35.34 and maintained an economy of 9.75.
