According to the post, Williamson is still struggling from his left elbow ailment, which has been bothering him for the entire year. “BLACKCAPS captain Kane Williamson will miss the second and final Test against India in Mumbai as he continues to battle the left-elbow injury which has troubled him for much of 2021”, The Blackcaps official post wrote. New Zealand will be led by Tom Latham.

In the meantime, Team India will be missing 3 players for the 2nd Test. Within the first Test match at Kanpur, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja sustained a right forearm ailment. He was recognized with a swelling on his arm shown in the scan reports. He has now been advised to heal and will so miss the second Test in Mumbai.
Ishant Sharma, injured his left little finger on the last day of the 1st Test match in Kanpur. As a result, he will miss the 2nd Test in Mumbai. His condition will be closely monitored by the Boards Medical Team.
Also on the last day of the first Test match in Kanpur, Ajinkya Rahane suffered a left hamstring injury while fielding. He has been pulled out of the second Test in Mumbai because he has not been completely cured. The BCCI Medical staff would continuously follow his recovery.

The toss for the second Test match in Mumbai has been postponed owing to a moist surface. The 2-match series featuring India and New Zealand is now tied at 0-0 following a draw in the first Test.
