A shocking decision was made by the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise on Saturday – They have announced Kane Williamson as the new skipper for the remainder of the IPL2021 season.
They have officially released a press statement – “Sunrisers Hyderabad would like to announce that Kane Williamson will be taking over the captaincy for tomorrow’s match and for the remainder of IPL 2021. The team management has also made the decision that they will be changing their overseas combination for tomorrow’s match against Rajasthan Royals.”
They also added – “This decision has not come lightly as the management respects the enormous impact David Warner has had for the franchise over a number of years. As we face the remainder of the season we are sure David will continue to help us strive for success both on and off the field.”

So Kane Williamson will be taking the captaincy duties from the Next match against Rajasthan Royals which is scheduled on 2nd May 2021 at Feroz Kotla. Well everyone is excited to see the new foreign player combinations – which SRH management has specially mentioned in their press release.
Kane Williamson has previously led SRH in the years 2018 and 2019. And especially in those seasons, SRH was performing really well and especially he has stood in front and led the team successfully. Williamson top-scored in the league with 735 runs in the team’s run to the final of the season
