IPL 2023 Auction: Five Overseas Bowlers who can bag Huge Bids in the Auction

The ten franchises will be charting up their analysis of players’ form and performances in order to find the perfect combinations for their squads heading into the IPL 2023 Auction.

IPL 2023 Auction: On December 23, 2022, in Kochi, 405 players, including capped, uncapped, and associate players, are scheduled for a mini-auction.

For the forthcoming season, franchises will already have a list of players they want to target at the auction. Teams will be looking for players who can work magic with the ball in hand among the athletes who have enrolled for the auction. locating bowlers who can bowl at various stages of the game is crucial. The franchisees’ success during the IPL season will depend on how well they perform in this crucial role.

How Many Bowlers have registered for auction?

A total of 131 bowlers from have registered their names in the auction and among them 44 players are from overseas teams like Australia, South Africa, England, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka. Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, West Indies, UAE and Ireland.

The overseas bowlers that will go under the hammer includes players that have previous IPL experience like Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Chris Jordan and Adam Milne. At the IPL 2023 Auction up to 87 players can be bought and out of that 30 overseas slots can be filled by the ten franchises.

  • Jhye Richardson having a Base Price: Rs 1.50 Crore)

The Australian pacer, who regularly bowls accurately and at respectable speeds, is a skiddy customer. Richardson became the fourth most expensive player to be auctioned in the 2021 IPL auction when the Punjab Kings paid a stunning price of Rs 14 Crore to get him. His quick career growth was fueled by success in the Sheffield Shield and the BBL.

Adil Rashid comes into the IPL 2023 player auctions riding on England’s T20 World Cup winning campaign. The Bowler known for keeping some of the biggest T20 batsmen in a struggling position. Rashid has consistently taken the wickets of some of the world’s most explosive batters in the recent past matches. The bowler has different variations, But also has his weapon of choice is his googly. Rashid known for economical bowling and can slow down the oppositions run rate.
