IPL 2022: RCB vs GT Key Players Battles To Watch Out For Today!

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Gujarat Titans Key Players Battles Preview:

RCB vs GT Key Players Battles: The much-celebrated stars of Royal Challengers Bangalore failed to turn up in the crucial game against the Punjab Kings.  RCB lost the game in a manner that hampered their net run rate. They need their big guns to fire in this must-win game against the Gujarat Titans. Titans are sitting pretty having qualified for the playoffs already. The Challengers will look to expose the slightest bit of complacency in the Titans’ side.

We Look at The RCB vs GT Key Players Battles In This Match:

#1 Faf du Plessis vs Mohammad Shami

RCB has been successful whenever their skipper has been fired this season. Faf du Plessis needs to be at his absolute best in this do-or-die game. He doesn’t have that great record against Mohammad Shami.

The Gujarat seamer has been fantastic with the new ball this season. He has made decisive breakthroughs upfront. His seam movement even with the white ball has been too hot to handle for most of the batsmen. He will test Faf in the powerplay. If Faf manages to negate Shami’s threat, RCB will set themselves up for a good score.

#2 Glenn Maxwell vs Rashid Khan

He was looking his brutal best in the last game against PBKS. Glenn Maxwell was looking all set to take the game away from Punjab. He swept, reverse-swept Punjab spinners to provide RCB the upper hand. Maxwell will be eager to carry on the good run in this crucial game.

He will be up against one of the finest exponents of spin bowling in this game. Khan will be aware that Maxwell will want to go after him. He will try to line Maxwell up. It will be an exciting contest between two of the game’s biggest mavericks.

#3 Hardik Pandya vs Josh Hazlewood

He has been sensational as a skipper in his debut season as captain. Hardik Pandya has hardly put a foot wrong as a leader. But his batting has dipped in a bit in the recent few games. He will be keen to get back amongst the runs leading into the playoffs. Pandya won’t be having it easy against Josh Hazlewood. He has been RCB’s tour de force with the new ball. Hazlewood with his hard lengths will test Pandya. This contest will be worth watching.

#4 Rahul Tewatia vs Harshal Patel

The Gujarat Titans’ top order has gained momentum at the right time. This has left their middle-order and lower middle-order with nothing much to do in the last few games. Rahul Tewatia, their designated finisher was the wrecker in chief, especially at the halfway stage of the tournament. He won games from nowhere for the side. Tewatia won the battle against Harshal Patel when these two sides first met this season. Patel will be keen to win this bout this time around.
