IPL 2020: Virat Kohli Becomes 5th Player In Indian Premier League, 3rd Indian To Achieve This Feat

Virat Kohli Became 5th Player In Indian Premier League (IPL) History To Smash 200 Sixes:

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli became the fifth player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to break 200 sixes on Sunday in a league game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). In addition, Kohli is only the third Indian to make this distinction. The 31-year-old hit the milestone on the 17th of the first innings, after RCB won the toss and took the bat. Kohli broke all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja into the sightscreen after coming down the track, making sure he had enough space to make contact.

RCB has posted a total of 145 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Kohli finished as their top run-scorer, scoring 50 runs off 43 deliveries in the boundary and six innings. South African cricketer AB de Villiers was the other big player in the bat, scoring 39 runs in 36 balls with four limits to his name.

Sam Curran, an English all-rounder, was the most effective bowler for CSK to pick up three wickets. Curran was responsible for the dismissals of Aaron Finch, Kohli and Moeen Ali. Pacer Deepak Chahar offered quality support, picking up the two lifebloods of de Villiers and Chris Morris.

The two sides are fighting in the second Southern derby of the current season at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. RCB emerged victorious in the first match between the two sides in the IPL 2020, courtesy of an undefeated 90 from Kohli who broke the ball to all corners of the ground mercilessly.
