IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals Beat Kolkata Knight Riders By 18 Runs In Sharjah Thriller

Delhi Capitals Had Posted A Target Of 229 Runs For Kolkata Knight Riders:

Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi, batsmen from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), have formed a fine partnership to help the side remain in contention for a record goal of 229 runs, despite being six down. After the side was sent in to bat by KKR in the 16th match of Indian Premier League ( IPL) 2020 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday, Delhi Capitals (DC) posted a total of 228/4.

In the tournament, skipper Shreyas Iyer scored his fastest half-century ever, remaining unbeaten on 88 *. The knock by Iyer consisted of seven boundaries and six sixes. Opener Prithvi Shaw previously smashed 66 runs off 41 balls, consisting of four boundaries and as many sixes in an innings. Moreover, the duo enjoyed wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant ‘s support, who scored a 17-ball 38. Andre Russell was KKR ‘s choice of the bowlers, preferring two wickets while conceding 29 runs.
