ICC T20 Women’s World Cup is at its final stage where the final match is going to be held on March 8 at Melbourne cricket ground, Australia. Indian women are going to face the defending champions Australia Women on the occasion of International Women’s day. It is their sixth appearance in finals where Indian women never made it to finals. This will be the second match both the teams are going to play. India is in the top with 4 wins and Australia with 3 wins in the second position in the list. But still, it is going to be a tough fight for both teams.
Meanwhile, many tweets and wishes running through social media in support of the Indian women’s cricket team from legend Sachin Tendulkar to Mithali Raj.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar shared his wishes to the ‘women in blue’ with his inspiring words saying, “My message to them would be to go out and give your best. I would tell them to not take any pressure. They don’t need to spend time with the outside world. I have watched their performances, and they have inspired so many youngsters,”.
“It is about bringing laurels to our nation, so many athletes in different fields have brought laurels to our nation; this would be another one. Go and enjoy yourself,” the master blaster concluded.
Mithali Raj, the former Indian Women’s team captain who led the team into the 2017 Women’s world cup, has wished the team and urging them to bring the cup home. She shared a video on her Instagram while batting in a saree. At the end of the video, she said, “let’s show the world that we can do it too. Come on team India. Let’s bring the trophy home”.
BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly also expressed his wishes for Indian women for world cup final saying that they have made the country proud. England opener Danni Wyatt expressed her views on Shafali Verma saying Australia needs to play mind games to stop Shafali Verma.
