During the 3rd day of 2nd test of the ongoing South Africa tour of India at Pune, on-field umpire Nigel Llong took a stunning call to dismiss the South African all-rounder Senuran Muthusamy.
This incident happened during the 45th over where Muthusamy failed in his attempt to leave a conventional Jadeja delivery, which saw him walking back to the pavilion. The delivery was coming into the batsman and Muthusamy offered no shot and was stuck on his pads.
The Indian fielders formally started appealing, just when the fielders stopped appealing, Llong raised his finger to rule the batsman out.
After the umpire decision, Muthusamy discussed with captain Faf du Plessis to opt for a review.
After a few replays, it was confirmed that the ball would have gone on to hit the stumps.
Muthusamy, who came in to bat at No. 8 in the 39th over, ended up scoring 7 (20). Having made his debut in the Visakhapatnam Test, Muthusamy had contributed with the bat in both the innings of his first Test.

Take a bow Nigel Llong.
Given the muted appeal, nobody would have given that out.
What a brave call. 👏👏👏#INDvsSA
