We Take A Look At What India’s Strongest Playing XI Could Be
Openers ( KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma)
KL Rahul is one the best T20 batsmen right now and nobody doubts it. The Punjab Kings skipper was the Orange Cap winner in the IPL and might be the right man to partner Rohit in the upcoming T20 World Cup. KL Rahul can be used at number 4 or 5 too but ideally should be opening in this series.
Rohit Sharma is the obvious opening choice and there is no question about it. Rohit Sharma can be easily a threat to England bowlers.
Middle Order and All Rounders ( Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Risabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar)
Virat Kohli will be captaining the team and playing one down in the team. Kohli is yet to score a hundred in T20I and we’ll be hoping to see him score one in this series.
Suryakumar Yadav should be rewarded for his finest performance during this IPL. Yadav tends to carry the innings deep to the end and go big which can be very handy when Hardik Pandya and Risabh Pant will go big from another end.
Hardik Pandya and Risabh Pant are the obvious choices for there hard-hitting during the final overs. No matter who the bowler, both players have the capability to score big during the finals overs and give a decent score on the board.
India T20I regular Washington Sundar is in at No. 7 in this strongest XI. The off-spinning all-rounder hasn’t contributed with the bat much in T20I cricket and he’ll be keen on changing that in this series.
Bowlers ( Yuzvendra Chahal, Deepak Chahar, Bhuveneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan)
Yuzvendra Chahal is the obvious choice in the middle overs to bowl where he can be a real game-changer aa we have seen before.
The right-arm bowler Bhuvneshwar in India T20I. English condition will suit Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s pace and swing. He will look to trouble the England players with his swing. Deepak Chahar is a good option to pick up wickets in the start with his ability to swing the ball in right lengths troubling batsmen.
In the absence of injured Jasprit Bumrah, the fast bowler T Natarajan will look to bowl those yorkers against England. He has been in good form in his debutant series vs Australia and would like to carry it further.
Probable XI – Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Risabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and T Natarajan
