India’s NZ tour: Kohli’s Fiery Exchange With A Journalist

Virat Kohli: No Need To Act Differently As I am a captain

Many things are said about the on-field aggression of Virat Kohli during recent India’s tour to New Zealand. On Thursday (03-04-2020), during a conversation with Kevin Pietersen, Kohli said that he doesn’t need to act in a different way as he is the captain of the team and he never plays any match without having the fire spirit in his belly.

In that tour, the Indian skipper had an intense conversation with a journalist who told him to control his anger after his team’s devastating defeat against New Zealand in the final Test match at the Hagley Oval.

On the last day of the test match in the test series with New Zealand, the Virat was seen giving very angry send-offs to the batsmen of New Zealand and energetically celebrating the wicket falls at the time of the first two Times. In the same instance, Virat was seen using an invective to the heavy crowd.

During a live session on Instagram, Virat said to Kevin Pietersen “ There is a little bit of craziness here (in his head). When I played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, each & every moment I was in his ear. I needed to be at the right location at the right time. In my opinion, I need to act differently as I am a captain. I can’t play a game any other way. I promise that the day I stop feeling that I will stop.”

He added “ According to me, the most vital thing is how can I help out the team to succeed. That attitude should never be distorted. In India, many things public mix up the things, but you have to stop the blare and make maximum opportunities ahead of you.”

When Kevin Pietersen asked Kohli about the difficulty of India on foreign soil, Virat Kohli gave significance to the matter in spite of their current struggle in test cricket by saying now situations feel the same all over the place with lots of cricket and it is more about the attitude.

“Previously, we used to come to England in every 3-4 years. You guys come to India every year for the Indian Premier League. But with so much cricket, we don’t feel that we are playing in foreign conditions. Anyone can beat anyone anywhere. As per the conditions, we feel the same. It is all about exhaustion and attitude.” He added.
