Team India captain Virat Kohli has created a number of records in T20I cricket. He is also known as the run machine of India. Virat Kohli is just six runs away from scoring 1000 runs in T20 internationals at home.

On Sunday, in the second T20I, Virat Kohli overtook Rohit Sharma to occupy the top spot in the highest run-scorers list of T20 internationals. While Virat Kohli slammed 2,563 runs in T20Is, Rohit Sharma has scored 2,562 runs in the same format.

When the innings started in Thiruvananathapuram, Virat Kohli was just 3 runs away from Rohit Sharma’s mark. After Rohit Sharma’s dismissal, skipper Virat Kohli came out to bat. He was just 18 runs away from surpassing Rohit Sharma and become the highest run-scorer in T20 internationals. Kohli was dismissed after scoring 19 runs in 17 balls. Kesrick Williams took the wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

In the scheduled three-match T20I series between India and West Indies, India defeated visitors by 6 wickets in the first T20I. In the second T20I, West Indies won over India, and the third and final T20I of Three match series is scheduled to be played on 11th December at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai.
