‘Light-Off’ Exercise Of Indian Cricketers:
On 5th April in the evening at 9 pm, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the whole nation to do a light off exercise i.e. to switch off the lights of their houses and light candles, diyas or torch lights to show the unity against the deadly coronavirus.
That’s why, all the Indian cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and many more came forward to execute the light-off exercise.

Earlier March 22, Narendra Modi had requested the citizens of India to come out on your balcony and make sound with any sort of thing to convey the support towards the medical staff, nurses and other leading workers in this alarming conditions.
Now, on 5th April when the Prime Minister requested every single person to light candles, diyas or torches to light up the cause that the whole nation is fighting against novel coronavirus with unity, then the Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, etc. come forward in Narendra Modi’s light off exercise.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar shared a picture with his family in his twitter handle and gave a caption “My Family and I thank the self-sacrificing #Sanitation Warriors cleaning our society, hospitals, disinfecting the affected surroundings & keeping the COVID-19 at bay. Let’s reignite our promise to take care of our senior people, the most at risk- by ensuring their mental & physical wellness.”
Indian skipper Virat Kohli also took his twitter handle shared a still with his wife Anushka Sharma and captioned “ A prayer in unity & harmony does make a diversity. Pray for every single being and stand together.”
