In the ongoing match of India vs Bangladesh Test match, India kept the Bangladesh team under its control. Mohammed Shami, India’s fast bowler, got the Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim out. Ashwin, meanwhile, achieved his 250 wickets at home taking the wicket of the Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque.
It all took place in the 54th over when Shami bowled a soaring in-swinging delivery which was too good for Rahim. Having left three deliveries in the over, Rahim probably didn’t expect Shami to bowl the in-swinger.
The matter became worse for the 32-year-old batsman as he attempted to play the ball down to third-man instead of defending it with a straight bat. In the end, Rahim was late to complete a run and had to walk back, satisfying himself with a score of 43 (105) with the help of four fours and a six.
While it appeared that Rahim would take Bangladesh to a good score, his wicket was followed by Shami who found Bangladesh spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz wanting in front of the stumps. The double-blow saw the visitors getting reduced to 140/7 at tea. In the very first ball after the break, India fast bowler Ishant Sharma took a wicket of wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das (21) to leave Bangladesh in further disarray.
