Team India crashed west indies by 6 wickets in the opener match of three-match T20I series under the captaincy of Virat Kohli which is held at Rajiv Gandhi international stadium Hyderabad on Friday. Skipper Virat Kohli awarded as man of the match.
India has won the toss and they elected to field first. For the Visitors, Shimron Hetmyer has finished his maiden half-century in the shortest format. He has scored 56 runs off 41 deliveries Evin Lewis 40 (17) and Kieron Pollard 37(19) also contributed with the bat to help the West Indies post a total of 207 for five.
Team India’s opening batsmen Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have started the innings. Rohit Sharma’s wicket has fallen out in the fourth over. After his dismissal, Virat Kohli entered the field to bat along with KL Rahul. Kohli seemed to struggle in the first half of the innings. Later king Kohli came back into the track and started attacking Windies bowlers with the boundaries. He went for bigger shots to chase the target. Kohli smashed 94 runs in 50 balls(not out). KL Rahul also played an impressive knock of 60 runs off 40 balls and finished his seventh half-century in T20I cricket. Shreyas iyer4(6) and Rishabh pant18(9) have also contributed their part in the highly intensive chase of 207 run target.
At the end of the day, Team India batsmen have successfully chased the target given by the west indies team by scoring 209 runs for 4 and won the opener match of the T20I series.

Team India is going to play its second T20I series against west indies will be scheduled to start from 8th December at Thiruvananthapuram
