“I Have A Perfect Strategy On Combatting Kane Williamson Ahead Of WTC Final 2021”, Says Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj’s rapid rise to prominence in India has been nothing short of spectacular. The cricketing community has praised the right-arm quick’s outstanding performances against Australia and England. Siraj has been picked in India’s squad for the World Cup final, and he’ll be trying to keep his place in the team for high-octane India vs New Zealand clash. I have a perfect gameplan to tackle Kane Williamson, says Siraj.

I have a planning strategy to attack New Zealand captain Kane Williamson- Mohammed Siraj

I have a perfect gameplan to tackle Kane Williamson- Mohammed Siraj. While Siraj’s status in India’s playing XI for the WTC Final 2021 is still in question, the Hyderabad-based bowler is confident in his ability to keep his place in the team and is already planning his strategy to attack New Zealand captain Kane Williamson. Siraj recently told ABP News that he would try to bowl in a specific location for as long as he could. To put pressure on Kane Williamson, the top batsman in the New Zealand line-up, the Indian fast bowler said he will concentrate on bowling dots against him.

It will provoke him to go for shots, according to Siraj, and his chances of being dismissed will increase. Siraj believes that English pitches have greater bounce and pace, which is why he used to bowl back of a decent length on Australian pitches. However, he believes that there will be more swing in England, so he will aim to get the batsmen to play on the front foot.

From Joe Root’s side, they would be more familiar with the conditions in England than in India.

Siraj further said that because the Kiwis would be playing a two-match Test series against Joe Root’s side, they would be more used to the conditions in England than in India. Siraj added that they are currently undergoing quarantine in preparation for their departure to England. He went on to say that when the IPL 2021 was postponed, they had no cricket, but New Zealand will play a Test series against England, and because they arrived much earlier, they will not only be among the matches, but they will also have more time to adjust to English conditions.

The Indian team will face New Zealand in the World Test Championship final in Southampton from June 18 to 22. The winner of the high-voltage match between India and New Zealand will be crowned World Test Championship champions for the first time. Virat Kohli’s team will play England in a five-match test series after the WTC Final 2021. The series will kick off in Nottingham on August 4-8, with matches at Lord’s (August 12-16), Leeds (August 25-29), Oval (September 2-6), and Manchester to follow (Sep 10-14).

India’s playing XI for WTC Final 2021: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (Captain), Ajinkya Rahane (Vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper), R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mohd. Shami, Md. Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, KL Rahul (subject to fitness clearance), Wriddhiman Saha.
