Indian captain Virat Kohli, along with his wife and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma, on Monday, pledged to donate an unknown amount to the PM Cares Fund and the Maharashtra CM Relief Fund. Since then, fans have been interested in knowing the amount given by the power couple. Trusting the sources, Kohli and Anushka jointly donated Rs 3 crore to a great cause.
The couple is actively educating about the coronavirus during their self-isolation. During this period, fans and followers asked to stay home and wash their hands regularly. Instead, Anushka even gave a demo on how to wash hands properly.
A few days ago, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the country to donate to the PM’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM-CARES) fund. Since then, the general public, along with various people, have been doing their part. Many Indian cricketers have already pledged to donate some amount to help India fight the coronavirus.
Virat Kohli and Anushka join the bandwagon
Accordingly, early on Monday, Virat Kohli took to his official Twitter handle and pledged to donate an unknown amount to the respective relief funds. “Anushka and I pledge our support towards the PM-CARES Fund and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Seeing so much suffering breaks our hearts, and we hope that our contribution will help to ease the suffering of fellow citizens #IndiaFightsCorona,” he wrote in his tweet.

However, according to reports in Bollywood Hungama, a close-knit industry group, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, have decided to donate Rs 3 crore. They praised for helping the country through these tough times, but Twitterati also congratulated them for not disclosing the amount.
