Younis Khan breaks silence on spat with Hasan Ali over ice-bath controversy

There has been no specific reason why Younis Khan resigned as a batting coach – but reports say that he had few issues with his student Hasan Ali. There were also a few rumors claiming that two players were involved in a heated argument of words during Pakistan’s successful tour of South Africa early this year.

The Incident was subjected to Hasan Ali refusing the order of the batting coach. Younis Khan advised everyone to take an ice bath for quick recovery post-sessions. Hasan Ali refused to take the ice bath – which resulted in a heated argument between the two Pakistanis.

Younis Khan Opens Up About The Ice Bath Incident With Hasan Ali

In the recent interview, Younis Khan has opened up about the argument and told that the incident has nothing to do with the resignation.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier announced about Younis Khan’s departure “It is sad to lose an expert of the stature and experience of Younis Khan. Following a series of discussions, we both have reluctantly but mutually and amicably agreed that it was time to move in different directions,” PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said in a press release.

Younis vs Hasan spat. Younis Khan quoted as saying in the interview, “Hasan Ali apologized to me, and I had forgiven him. To play up the Hasan Ali incident (and use it) as a possible reason for my resignation comes as a surprise to me.”

Meanwhile, the Pakistan team is gearing up for the upcoming series against England. They’ll be playing 3 T20s and the same number of ODIs in their tour.
