Haris Rauf Replaces with Dale Steyn In Melbourne Stars Squad

Melbourne Stars Picked Pakistan Pacer Haris Rauf as an overseas replacement for Dale Steyn, who is still recovering from a side strain he sustained during the 2019 MSL.

Nonetheless, on December 20, the pacer will miss out on the season’s opening game against Brisbane Heat.

Dale Steyn was injured during the Mzansi Super League and failed to recover in time that ultimately ruled him out of the Big Bash League for some time.

This, however, led the way for the Big Bash League season’s Haris Rauf, who was snapped up by the Stars franchise.

“Our priority is Dale’s fitness and continuing his treatment. He is very keen to play but we’ll let him rest after a long flight to Australia and put him in the best position to be ready for our match in Moe on Sunday,” Melbourne Stars’ physiotherapist, Tommy Simsek said.

Talking about  Dale’s Performance, he has a very good history and played all kinds of matches approximately. In mid-April 2019 he joined Royal Challengers Banglore for the 2019 IPL season with the replacement of injured Nathan Coulter-Nile.

While Rauf made his Pakistan Super League debut for Lahore Qalandars in 2019 and is now joining the likes of Nathan Coulter-Nile, Hilton Cartwright, and Clint Hinchliffe at the Stars franchise.

In other reports, as their new batting coach, the team has signed their former star, Luke Wright. The Stars were in the build-up to the BBL without a batting mentor after Michael Klinger quit the role of the Melbourne Renegades head coaching job. In January, Wright will join the squad.
