Ex Aus Player Claims Banter With Nita Ambani During 2008 IPL

Dominic Thornely Revealed How A Brief Banter Session With Nita Ambani Allegedly Helped Him Make His 2008 IPL Debut:

The IPL 2020 season’s suspension left cricket fans across India aware of the numerous IPL tales that have unfolded since the league’s 2008 inception. Current Mumbai Indians cricketer and Australian national Dominic Thornely recently gave an interview to an Indian publishing house on his brief stint in the Indian Premier League while playing for the Mumbai Indians during the inaugural session of IPL 2008.

When talking to a leading sports website in a recent interview, former Australian and Mumbai Indians cricketer Dominic Thornely talked about his brief stint at the IPL. The Australian laughed at how a short banter session with Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani helped him make his IPL debut at their 14-storey ‘Sea Wind’ domestic residence. Dominic Thornely was quoted as saying “Mrs. Ambani, you forgot to shut off the lights on the 30th floor. Whose space is that? I just feel like she figured that Albury’s redheaded kid, that Aussie man, a little bit of a larrikin, would get a game after that. I guess there is some sense to it. “Dominic Thornely’s IPL debut ended rather disappointingly when he was struck by a Zaheer Khan bouncer and had to retire injured. As a result of that incident, the Australian ended up with 16 stitches on his eyebrow.

Board Cricket Control Of India (BCCI) is now looking for October November window, to conduct 13th edition of IPL 2020 season. Players have using the forced break in the most productive and creative way, some of them were seen spending time with their family, where as others were seen rejuvenating themselves by having practice sessions at home itself. The best part about their activities is that whatever they have been doing, they have been sharing it with all their fans through their social media accounts.
