Every Skipper Should Look To Learn From Shane Warne- Yusuf Pathan

Shane Warne Was Ahead Of His Time- Mohammad Kaif:

The Indian Premier League’s inaugural season in 2008 saw the underrated team, Rajasthan Royals became the champion. Rajasthan Royals was not expected to take the championship because the team didn’t have that many heavy hitters at the time. However, RR beat Chennai Super Kings in the final and won the trophy when Shane Warne was in charge of the team.

Mohammad Kaif and Yusuf Pathan, both members are included in the squad at the time, recalled the title win during an interview with Instagram Live, and praised Warne’s captaincy all through the tournaments.

“Shane Warne was his moment ahead. During IPL 2008, he started the idea of ‘horses for courses.’ Out of all, Warne got the best. He was versatile in performance, “said Kaif.

Every Player Got The Backing And Appreciation After Every Match:

“On our side, we have had several improvements. There was no set player batting role. Warne told me to talk to the Indians, who were a little poor in English. I haven’t really taken IPL 2008 seriously because many of us hadn’t played it, but when we started winning, I felt it would go a long way as the families began to enjoy the game.

He also commended Warne’s captaincy and claimed that any skipper of the world should learn from him. He had scored 435 runs in the 2008 season and had picked eight Wickets as well.

“I recall that Warne met our squad. He’s been really healthy. In the first match, he said it doesn’t matter that we lost, but he encouraged us to show team spirit and give our best. He inspired us all by giving a relaxing talk and he proceeded to say we’re going to win the tournament. Every skipper in the world will try to learn from him, “Pathan said.
