For The Opening Pair Along With Rohit Sharma:
The opening Australian Batsman and Sunrisers Hyderabad Powerhouse David Warner have announced the team for the Indian Premier League(IPL). Warner gave a list of the eleven players he would like to be in his ever-present IPL XI- squad in an interview with the commentator Harsha Bhogle to media. However, a host of big stars, including former India batsman Yuvraj Singh and all-rounder Shane Watson have missed the cut.
The former Aussie teammate Shane Watson, who struck a hundred in the 2018 IPL final for Chennai Super Kings against Sunrisers Hyderabad, failed too to make this cut.
The Australia batsman backed himself along with Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma for opening the innings as a pair.
I’m Going To Score More Runs Than Him- David Warner:
Warner selects Kohli at No. 3, while veteran CSK Suresh Raina is chosen by the 33-year-old to bat in No. 4 slot. The former India captain and 3 times IPL title winner MS Dhoni took on the team as the 7th batsman. He took the all-rounders Glenn Maxwell and Hardik Pandya at 6th and 5th place.
Warner, alongside India’s pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, and former Indian seamer, Ashish Nehra, went in pace with his Australia team-mate Mitchell Starc. Warner called Kuldeep Yadav or Yuzvendra Chahal for the lone spinner’s spot.
Warner also mentioned similarities between Kohli and him in the meantime. “If you’re in the contest, and, for example, if I’m going to him, you think, ‘Alright, I’m going to get more runs than him, I’ll be making a fast single on him.’ “In that game, you try to improve yourself, that kind of passion should be. “he added.
