CSK Teammates Reveal The Form Of MS Dhoni In The IPL Camp

Dhoni Bhai Was Batting For Two To Three Hours At Nets Every Day:

Former India captain MS Dhoni was pinning his expectations on the IPL for a return to the Indian team this year. However, the prospect of the league looks grim due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has now jeopardized Dhoni’s chances of a comeback. However, the former wicket-keeper batsman looks in great touch in the pre-season camp according to his teammates from CSK.

“Mahi Bhai was completely concentrated, consciously trained and looked really good. He displayed match-like toughness in the way he was batting and holding and that rubbed off on others, “CSK website quoted Piyush Chawla.

“Mahi Bhai batted at nets every day for two to three hours and the way he struck the ball no one could tell that he was coming back from a long break. For the rest of us the way he was practicing was a big inspiration, “said Karn Sharma

Dhoni As A Natural Athlete- CSK Bowling Coach:

“He was really interested in match games, talking to the bowlers, and the pace that he was in was a huge boost for our squad,” Sharma said.

CSK’s bowling coach, former India cricketer Lakshmipathy Balaji, described Dhoni as a natural athlete and said he was looking forward to the season.

“MS is an athlete by design, and supremely healthy. He didn’t look tired, didn’t feel like he was off the game a bit. Clearly he was looking forward to the season, the way he was playing, hitting, holding and interacting with the squad, “Balaji said.

According to team physiotherapist Tommy Simsek, Dhoni put himself through the struggle and was extremely hard at work.

“I saw MS do some wicket-keeping practices for the first time in around 10 years and it goes to prove he was certainly interested, certainly concentrated on performing well this year,” he said.
