COVID-19:Jos Buttler Auctions His World Cup Shirt To Raise Fund

England’s Jos Buttler Is Auctioning His World Cup Final Shirt:

Jos Buttler, the English international cricketer is auctioning his last year’s World Cup final shirt to raise funds to help the hospitals treating the deadly COVID-19.

The current vice-captain of the England Cricket team played an important role in England’s exciting defeat of New Zealand in the month of July 2019 at Lord’s. There, he scored a half-century, batting in the Super Over and after that dismissed by Martin Guptill in the last ball of the game.

On Tuesday (31st March 2020), the 29 years old wicketkeeper-batsman of England said in a social media video that he would be auctioning the jersey, signed by all players of the World-cup winning team on eBay.

The entire fund will go to the Harefield hospitals and Royal Brompton’s charity.

Jos Buttler Statement:

 Further Jos Buttler said “ We all know that hospitals, doctors, nurses and the NHS, all are doing very hard work at this moment. And afterward, they are going to require our support.”

Further, he added, “Last week, Harefield hospital and Royal Brompton charity launched an urgent request to give lifesaving instrument for these two hospitals, which are specialized in the lung as well as heart conditions in preparation for the Coronavirus outbreak.”

“ To raise funds for them, I am going to auction this shirt, which I wore in the 2019 World Cup final match and signed by other players of the team.”

Piers Morgan, who is a famous British television personality offered a bid of 10,000 pounds but finally, the cost of the shirt had passed across the 12,000-pound mark.

Due to the deadly coronavirus outbreak, along with cricket, many sports have come to halt in all over the world.

Jos Buttler was included in the Sri Lanka tour of England that was canceled at the time of the warm-up game and also he was involved in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) event, which is also postponed to 15th April.
