Gautam Gambhir has pledged to contribute two year’s salary to the PM Cares Fund:
Gautam Gambhir, a current member of Parliament and former India batsman has pledged to make a contribution his salary for 2 years to the PM CARES Fund to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The MP from East Delhi made his declaration in his twitter account.
He wrote “ People asked what can their nation do for them. But the real question should be what they can do for their nation? I am doing my bit by contributing my 2 years’ salary to #PMCaresFund. You should show your helping hands and do your bit! @narendramodi @JPNadda @BJP4Delhi #IndiaFightsCorona’.

Virat Kohli And Anushka Sharma’s Donation:
Before that, Indian captain, Virat Kohli announced in his twitter that he and his wife Anushka Sharma were pledging their support by making some contribution to the PM CARES Fund and CM Relief fund of Maharashtra to combat this deadly Coronavirus.
He quoted “ I and Anushka are pledging our support towards the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and PM CARES Fund. By looking at the suffering of the whole country, our hearts are breaking. We hope our little effort helps to ease the pain of our fellow Indians in some ways #IndiaFightsCorona.”
Between 31st March and 1st April, India reported 437 number of new Coronavirus cases. And the death toll because of COVID-19 has risen up to 50 on Thursday (01-04-2020).
